The wholesale market has partly re- covered from the recent oversupply of cut stock, but there is still plenty of everything to supply the demand, which has been fair during the week, al- though prices remain low. Carnations in colors are moving slowly, but white ones have been in good demand, as many were bought to be colored green for St. Patrick's day. Jonquils have been in good demand at fair prices. Tulips are overplentiful. In hyacinths there is only a limited supply, with lit- tle demand. Cut asparagus and smi- lax remain scarce, with a good demand. Southern jonquils were seen here March 14 for the first time this season. The retail trade has been fair, but not up to the average for this season of the year. Various Notes. J. J. Perry, local manager for the Pennock-Meehan Co., was at Philadel- phia on a business trip last week. A lot of Conrad Hess's azaleas were frozen during the" recent cold spell, but he says few are seriously hurt, as they were allowed to thaw out in a cold house. Hugo Walther,
