The memorial in the Orthodox Church cemetery at Sarajevo which was erected in memory of , Gavrilo Princip , the chief assassin of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife , and also to his accomplices who were hanged for their part in the killings , which precipitated the First World War in 1914 Koševo Cemetery is huge complex of cemeteries consisted of: Shahid cemetery (Muslem), Lav cemetery (Catholic) and Old Orthodox cemetery. Shahid cemetery Koševo (Šehidsko Mezarje) is recent Sarajevo 1992-1995 Siege cemetery, made purely of need to bury numerous victims of Serbian occupation of Sarajevo.
