Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore otherwise known as the Duomo in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The Duomo is the main church of the city of Florence. Construction was started in 1296 in the Gothic style with the structure completed in 1436. The famous dome was engineered by Filippo Brunelleschi.
