A Persian handwritten koran Qajar period, dated 1847. Koran written on 110 pages between golden background, with elaborately designed, multi-coloured decorative pages. Dated "1263" (=1847) at the end. Lacquer binding with delicate floral paintings against a golden respectively red, on the inside, background. The leather spine of the book restored, three decorative pages with minor traces of decomposition of the green decorative colour.
