Cindy Sheehan, the ancestor and great niece of Marian Cooper who was saved by HMS Wellington in 1940 from the Atlantic Ocean when her ship was hit by a torpedo. HMS wellington keep the ship afloat, requires constant maintenance and inspection. Floating astride the Victoria Embankment, by Temple Station HMS Wellington has been moored here since 1948 after serving as a convoy ship during World War Two.
