The healthy, vigorous life of BelmontChurch has been evidenced by the numberof young men it has sent forth to theministry. The list of names is a long one,and it is specially worthy of mention that. Rev. H. A. Inglis, the only sons respectively of Rev. Alex-ander Thomson, Rev. David Arthur, andRev. Dr. Stark all entered the Patrick Thomson was minister atLiverpool, and he is survived by his son,Professor Radford Thomson, of the NewCollege, London ; Rev. William MacintoshArthur was minister at Bamford, nearRochdale ; and Rev. W. Aylmer Stark wasCongregational minister at Peterhead, andafterwards in London, and he is now incharge of the Scottish Episcopal Church atMonifieth. Among the ministerial sons ofBelmont Church still in active service isthe Rev. David Caird, formerly of Luton,and now Secretary of the LiberationSociety, who was at one time a journalistin Aberdeen, and afterwards held pas-torates in Dundee and Edinburgh beforecrossing the Border.
