People dressed up as Roundheads and Cavaliers re-enacting the Battle of Nantwich in January 2015
Every year in Nantwich, on the closest Saturday to 25th January, members of the Sealed Knot re-enact the Battle of Nantwich which took place in 1644. This battle was fought between the Royalists and Parliamentarians during the English Civil War. The Parliamentarians win every year!
