ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 9, 2017) – Aviation Support Equipment Technician 3rd Class Lane Nobile observes as Aviation Support Equipment Technician 2nd Class Matthew Fontenot repairs the control panel of an A/S32P-25A firefighting vehicle in the hangar bay aboard amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Iwo Jima is underway conducting a series of qualifications and certifications as part of the basic phase of training in preparation for future operations and deployments.
