Tait, Mr. R. L. Nettleship, Mr. CraigSellar ; and Mr. Onslow Folds miniature tfifigy of the late -*fi OLD HALL AND LIBRARY, BALLIOL. On the W. side of the quadrangle is the old Dinins^ Hall, built about 1432,.and now fitted up as a Reading-room for n!embers of the college. Some ofits windows contain interesting fragments of stained glass, dated 1533 ; thetwo at the N. end, illustrative of the great poet?, were placed in memory ofthe late Professor of Poetry (J. C. Shairp). Some precious relics of Browningare treasured here, including several volumes of original MSS. of his poems,and the old yellow book which suggested the plot of The Ring and theBook.
