This marble is over 3^ in hardness, grained like wood and takesa high polish, showing the colors of the African Numidian, as well aslighter and darker tints not seen in that stone. IMPERIAL COUNTY. 735 Near the above deposit the company owns one claim, containing 20acres of boulders, which appear to be concretions remaining from someoverlying formation which has disappeared.
