LONG the southern base of the WelshMountains in the northeastern partof Honeybrook Township, a shortand narrow by-road branches offfrom the Morgantown highway, andruns westwardly toward HoneybrookBorough. Crossing this road almost at rightangles, a limpid brooklet with rapidmovement passes southward througha small and stony culvert; whilewestward from this culvert a hundred yards or more, anotherbrooklet crosses the same road and is bridged over with a fewplanks. Each claims to be the Brandywine, and each has itssupporters. Sometimes the strife runs high; now and then theeastern brooklet, bubbling with pride, refuses to confine itself to [ 7
