Justice Sword is a and Romanian combined exercise which allows the two nations to further improve interoperability with their NATO allies and partners. Sgt. Brown has deployed as a M1A2 Abrams Armor Crewman to various overseas locations including Kuwait, South Korea, Iraq, Poland, and Romania. Throughout these rotations he has gained valuable experience training with foreign nations, allies, and partners. Mounted on his vehicle is a stuffed bear he acquired from a care package during his rotation to Iraq. This token of appreciation, sent to him several years ago, has remained by his side throughout each of his rotations. 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, is currently in Romania in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve; an ongoing effort for the collective defense and cooperative security of our NATO Allies and Partners.
