THE ROSELAND FLORIST MEMBER F. T. D. ILLINOIS FLOmSTS ELECT. [Continued from a preceding page.] period of great prosperity, so that, not- withstanding the increased cost of prac- tically every item necessary to produc- tion and the conduct of our business, we have been able to meet expenses and, in addition, malce a small profit. While this prosperous period resulted to a certain extent from the influenza epi- demic, much credit, on the other hand, must be given to national advertising, and florists throughout the entire coun- try are fast awakening to the great benefits to be derived from the judi- cious use of printers' ink. F., with the result that the president of the state society has been ac- corded a place on the board of directors of the national body. It is also our aim to increase the number of life members in our organization to at least 100 and in this way to create a fund, the inter- est from which will be sufficient to meet the expenses. "As trade conditions are again evi- dencing the return to a normal basis, the necessity of publicity becomes more apparent, and it will be to the associa- tion 's best interests to renew our an- nual exhibition
