Aston Martin DB/2/4 car

The 1955 Aston Martin was owned by the son of Lord Swinton who was head of the Security Executive (a precursor for MI5 and MI6) during the Second World War. He met Ian Fleming in Kent at the time the author was writing his James Bond novels. Ian Flemings novel, Golfinger published in 1959 features James Bond driving an Aston Martin DB/3, this car was fitted with reinforced bumpers and a concealed compartment housing a gun. It is said this is the actual car that was inspiration for James Bond's car of choice.
