This foundry is in reality an auxil-iary of the Brantford Scale works, buthas capacity to handle much more ton-nage than is required for the scale busi-ness, the intention being to supply out-side customers who require castings ofthis nature. Brantford, while being one of thebest foundry centres in Canada, hasnever been in a position to turn outlight, soft, grey iron castings, all thefoundries being equipped for produc-ing heavy machinery castings.
