Y Gegin (Cegin) Fawr, the Big (or Old) Kitchen, Aberdaron: a former rest-house for Medieval pilgrims en route to Bardsey Island.

Y Gegin (Cegin) Fawr, the Big (or Old) Kitchen, Aberdaron: a rest-house where pilgrims could stay overnight & claim a meal before crossing the Sound to Bardsey Island. A small, two-storeyed rubble-built house with a renewed slate roof & two altered dormer windows. Claimed to date back to the C14th but probably more recent. Now run as a cafe & souvenir shop.
