Butter.—A celebrated and entirely distinct variety, very popular in the Philadelphia market, producing crisp, white solid heads, almost equal to a cab- bage, the outer leaves are speckled with a brownish tinge. It is an elegant forcing variety, or for growing in cold frames, and stands the heat and cold to a remarkable degree; regard it as one of the very best ^and most profitable varieties to grow.
