Bags of rice for survivors of super typhoon Haiyan being loaded onto a C-130 military transport plane in Cebu, the Philippines, for delivery to Tacloban. Haiyan was the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded to have made landfall, with sustained winds of more than 300 kilometres per hour at its peak. The island of Leyte, and in particular its capital Tacloban, bore the brunt of Haiyan's force. More than 6200 people were confirmed killed, with nearly 2000 missing. Photographed in November 2013.
