Thailand: Buddha and monkeys at the 13th century Prang Sam Yot, Lopburi. Originally a Khmer Hindu shrine, it has three prangs that used to represent Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva (the Hindu trinity). It was originally known as Lavo or Lavapura. After the foundation of the Ayutthaya Kingdom in the 15th century, Lopburi was a stronghold of Ayutthaya's rulers.
