ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 4, 2018) Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Cody Ellefson readies a .50-caliber machine gun during a live-fire exercise aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) during Flag Officer Sea Training April 4, 2018. Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its sixth patrol in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners and national security interests in Europe.
