The wide open moorlands and rolling hills of the Eastern Cairngorms at the Lecht near Corgarff Castle and Lecht Activity centre
The open moorland of the Eastern Grampian at The Lecht offers great walking opportunities in a remote area with a good number of wide tracks, one of which leads to Inchrory Lodge deep in the heart of the Strathavon Valley. The track is situated in the Don Valley following the serpentine river until the stream disappears into the hills where one can follow it to its source through heather and moorland with great views over the countryside. This location is also nearby Corgarff Castle, its car park the starting point for many walks
