Malik Diop, the coordinator for the West Africa fisheries organising project, which is supported by the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF). Senegalese fishers are attempting to organise and take harder stances against the government amid concerns about overfishing by foreign industrial trawlers. They say that the lack of fish available to catch is forcing them to use their boats to migrate to Europe.
