The dorsal bristles are stout and strongly pectinated except at the tip, which is smooth. Just above the neuropodial aciculum the apex of the chaeta-sac is produced into a finger-shaped process. The ventral bristles (Fig. 7 d) are rather slender, with numerous frills and a bidentate tip.
