The fossils, discovered in Africa in 1994) indicate that it was bipedal, it walked on two legs. The blue dots on the model are points of reference for the computer modelling. The model was used for the French film-documentary A Species Odyssey (2003), directed by Jacques Malaterre. The film covered millions of years of human evolution and many different species of hominids.
