An eagle for the helmet of a member of the Arcièren Life Guards serving the Emperor of Austria First issue after the introduction of theses helmets on 29 July 1850. Made of non-ferrous metal (brass), the eagle has a high copper content. A double-headed eagle with embossed open crowns. Screw fasteners on the eagle's claws resp. tail. The number "2" is inscribed on the inside of the tail. The back bears the fixture for mounting the white buffalo hair plume.
