Internally displaced Yemenis live in a camp in the Al Ma'afer District in the Taiz Governorate of Yemen. A recent escalation in the fighting between government forces and Houthi rebels in the west coast of the Taiz province has doubled the number of internally displaced Yemenis as well as causing the deterioration of their humanitarian situation. Many displaced Yemenis have fled dangerous fighting areas and searched for refuge in both the Taiz and Al-Hudaydah governorates where most of them live in the open, while a few of them live in camps lacking in basic facilities
