Tools and Seeds.—The expense of tools is small, and even where it is impossible for the school to furnish each child an individual set of tools such as is shown in Figure 134, the school can purchase a few tools for general use, and have each child bring his tools from home when needed. Seeds are also inexpensive. By writing to the Congressman from the district it is possible to secure from the United' States Department of Agriculture a considerable supply of excellent seeds free of charge.
