The Belgrave Mine operated from the early 1800s to around 1857: remains of pumping houses, a horse whim, mine shafts & trials, spoil heaps, ore bins, a leat, a reservoir, offices & cottages are spread out over the limestone outcrops of Bryn Alyn to the E of the River Alyn/Afon Alun.
