North American P-51C Mustang painted to represent an aircraft flown by Capt. William T "Whiz" Whisner of the 352nd Fighter Group, 487th Fighter Squadron, 8th Air Force. The original wartime fighter was a P-51B 42-106449 HO-W named "Princess Elizabeth", which was not Whisners choice of name. It was named “Princess Elizabeth" after the insisted it be named this as the Princess (the future Queen Elizabeth II) was visiting Bodney at the time. This P-51B can be seen in the D-Day invasion Colours in preperation for the invasion.
