Roger Wareham, family attorney for the Heywards showing a toy gun similar to the one Nicholas Heyward Jr. was playing with the day he was shot to death by NYPD housing cop Brian George in the staircases of the Gowanus Houses. The parents of Nicholas Heyward Jr., along with NYC Assemblyman Charles Barron, relatives of victims of police brutality, neighbors and advocacy groups marched to the Brooklyn DA's office to deliver a letter of support signed by over 50 organizations and public figures who stand in solidarity with #JusticeForNicholasHeywardJr and tell DA Ken Thompson that he must fulfill his campaign promise and fully investigate the 1994 murder of little Nicholas.
