Reagan Gray, an infantry automatic rifleman with Company C, Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 4th Marine, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, sorts through his gear during a gear inspection in the hanger bay aboard the USS Makin Island Dec. 28. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU places significant importance in maintaining mission readiness in the event there is a need for an immediate response to crisis.
