A Mamluk mace, 18th century, Forged iron, the six flanges of semicircular form, topped by a half bronze orb, long, partially facetted socket, gilt bronze ring over silver ferrule, gold inlaid flower ornaments, the hardwood grip with pierced hole for a lanyard. Length 64 cm. Provenance: From Napoleon's Egyptian campaign 1798 - 1801.
