Elx (Elche). Basilica Minor of Santa Maria or Arciprestal Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. Western facade. The construction of the building began on 2nd July, 1673, on the site of the previous church, with project of the architect Francisco Valverde. It was not finished until 1784. The covers are the work of the sculptor Nicolas de Bussy, between 1680 and 1682. Province of Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain.
