MONTREAL, Feb. 10.—The ninthannual convention of the Cana-dian Produce Association openedyesterday morning at the Windsor Hotelin Montreal. A meeting of the executivecommittee prior to the opening of theconvention was held to discuss certainmatters which were to be brought beforethe convention as a whole later in theday. At ten-thirty the convention wascalled to order. The official welcome ofMederic Martin, , mayor of the city,was extended by Alderman J. P. Dixon,owing to the unavoidable absence of themayor.
