Leaves bright greenand devoid of tomentum on the upper surfacefrom the time of unfolding, or very slightly floc-cose when very young, the basal ones obovate orspatulate to elliptic, obtuse or acutish, graduallycontracted into a narrow base about as long asthe expanded part, 2-34 long, i-i4 wide; stem-leaves lanceolate or the lower na;rrowly oblong;heads corymbose ; involucre i^--, high, its bractsall lanceolate-acuminate or the outer ones linear-oblong and obtusish.
