Michael Grossman, a UH-1Y Venom crew chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), observes aircraft surroundings in-flight during a close air support mission for an amphibious assault exercise, April 27. The Marines and Sailors of the 11th MEU and Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) are conducting routine training off the coast of southern California. Together, the 11th MEU, Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) 1, and ships are designated as an ARG.
