The sweet chestnut tree that has been voted tree of the year for 2023. The 484-year-old tree in Acton Park, Wrexham, has stood since the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. The competiton to find a tree each year is held by the Woodland Trust. Previous winner was the Sycamore Gap tree on Hadrians Wall now felled by vandals.
