The trreat advantage claimed for them is that they combine the free flowering qualities of the Tea class with the rich coloring and to some extent the hardiness of the Hybrid Perpetual, Though not as hardy as the Hybrid Perpetuals they are much hardier than the Teas, and will stand out during winter wherever the Bourbon mil, and where the Teas would be killed to the ground. Antoine Verdier—Bright silvery rose, shaded rich carmine; flowers very freely the entire season ; extra fine. Beauty of Stapleford—Flowers large, double and handsomely formed, color bright pink, shading gradually towards the center to deep rosy carmine. Makes beautiful buas'and is a profuse bloomer. Camcens—Beautiful China rose color, shaded with yellow; a vigorous growing and free blooming variety. Distinction—Flowers not very full, but of fine form ; color silvery peach tinted with pink. La France—Delicate silvery rose, shaded with cerise-pink, often silvery pink with peach shading. Very large, very double, and of superb form. It flowers con- tinuously throughout the season. Xone can surpass the delicacy of its coloring; in fragrance, incomparable; in form, perfect. The sweetest and most useful of all roses. It ranks first, not only in the section to which it belongs but stands first and foremost among roses. Madam Schwaller—A variety of great freedom of bloom. Color rosy flesh, paler at the base of petals, and deeper on the edges. Globular when opening, becom- ing cupped when expanded. Of bushy growth, and very free flowering.
