' ...THE STAR INCUBATORS AND As a Hatcher it is the Peer of all Incubators, Will Hatch Chickens or Ducks with Equal Facility, Both Brooders and Hatchers Possess Im- portant Advantages over all other Makes^ Endorsed as the Best by- hundreds of the Largest and Most Successful Breeders in the United States, IF YOU WISH THE BEST RESULTS, YOU WILL USE NO OTHER. NO MOISTURE The Star Regulator The regulator used in the Star is built on entirely new lines, and no other practical regulator has ever been devised that is its equal, either in durability or exactness. In the Star simplicity and conformity to natural laws are among its notable points. Sensitive and positive in action, this thermostat surpasses all other regulators. The thermostatic bar is a combination of the best grades of aluminum and steel, and is placed in the egg chamber, but is separated from the eggs by a wire partition, thus preventing the hatching chicks or ducks from getting on it and disturbing the heat at the most critical time. While on this subject, we beg to say that the use of aluminum and steel as a thermostatic bar is our invention, and others using it are simply imitating our bar. The case in many, the eggs lying directly under the bar will be from one to two degrees, or even more, colder than the balance of the eggs; and this is harmful, as we know uniformity of the temperature is absolutely necessary for success. Sudden changes of temperature in many machines of the present day will throw the thermometer in the incubator off from four to five degrees, and even more. This is not so with the Star. Ventilation Perfect. No Moisture Required. With the proper application and degree of heat, and equally important, is the ventilation ; for a little too much or not quite enough means a poor hatch. We take the air in
