Snow removal equipment, trucks and Humvees assigned to the New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing are lined up and ready to go at Gabreski Air National Guard Base in Westhampton Beach on Jan. 22 as a blizzard heads for New York City and Long Island. The storm is expected to hit on Jan. 23. The wing put 20 Airmen and five vehicles on standby to assist Long Island local governments at the direction of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.
