Mr. Titusi is a member of theMethodist church, a Republican in politics andfraternally a member of the Modern Woodmenand the Mystic Workers; Mrs Titus is alsoa member of the latter order. WILLIAM W. SEAVEY (deceased) was bornon his fathers farm in Palmyra Township, LeeCounty, 111., Oct. 18. 1840. son of Winthrop andElizabeth (Curtis) Seavey, natives of NewHampshire who came to Lee County in 1839,locating in the western part of Palmyra Town-ship. Winthrop Seavey and his wife were. became owner of the estate, and by judiciousmanagement greatly increased its area andvalue. In 1885 he erected a modern residence,which is surrounded with stately trees, andtogether with other well-constructed farmbuildings, presents an attractive rural Seavey was an extensive breeder of Short-horn and Aberdeen Angus cattle. On Novem-ber 17, 1870, he married Augusta Moses, bornin Palmyra Township, and to thsm one child—Albion M.—was born, Mr. Seavey died August14, 1897, and his widow resides with her sonon the old homestead in Section 30, PalmyraTownship.
