Brazil, Bahia: Small colonial style church Sao Francisco do Litoral in Praia do Forte
Praia do Forte was a small fishermen´s village and is nowadays one of the the most known touristic towns at the Costa dos Coqueiros in Bahia, Brazil. The little white church Igreja Sao Francisco has survived the touristic invasion and marks her place in the middle of the central square surrounded by souvenir shops, restaurants, bars and hotels. In the back of the church is the entrance of famous environmental project TAMAR for the protection of endangered sea turtles.
