A Air Force special mission aviator assigned to the 46th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron (ERQS) test fires a .50 caliber GAU-18 during a training mission over Iraq, July 18, 2018. The 46th ERQS provides combat search and rescue capabilities across the region in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. In conjunction with partner forces, Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve defeats ISIS in designated areas of Iraq and Syria and sets conditions for follow-on operations to increase regional stability.
