If likely to bederanged by slipping upwards, a band may beadded, which shall pass under the jaw. T BANDAGE OF THE EAR. Composed of a horizontal band, two yards long,of a vertical one, a half yard in length, and ofa piece of linen of the shape and size of the externalear. Sew the hori-zontal band to thesummit of the ear-shaped piece of mus-lin, and attach thevertical one to theopposite part, or thatcorresponding withthe soft part of theear. Application. —Fixthe circular band overthe ear of the affectedside, and place the muslin over or close behind theear; then carry the vertical band under the jawand up on the opposite side, where it may be con-fined by the horizontal turns.
