Coronavirus seat restrictions on a Leeds-Settle-Carlisle train with no passengers, travelling near Settle, North Yorkshire, UK

At the time of the photograph four trains a day were running in each direction on the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle railway line, about half of the normal daily service. Most trains were running empty or nearly empty. As the photo shows only a small number of available seats were actually in use so as to maintain the 2 metre social distancing brought in by the Government. The photo was taken the week before the compulsory wearing of face masks on public transport was introduced.
