Seborrheic eczema on the skin of a 60-year-old woman. Seborrheic eczema is a type of skin inflammation (dermatitis) caused by over-activity of sebaceous glands. It causes an itchy rash. In many cases there is no apparent cause, but in this case, the eczema was triggered by exposure of the skin to the sun. Eczema is treated by the application of steroid and moisturising creams.
