He was ap-pointed by JIayor Winston one of the com-missioners of the City Board of Charities andCorrections, and he has been i-e-appointed tothe position by each mayor of the city up tothe present time, serving in all ten years,during six of which he has been president ofthe board, and during nearly all this timehe has been chairman of the City HospitalCommittee. He is attending physician of theAsbury Hospital, consulting physician at Hospital, and Lutheran Deaconess,and Gynecolgist of the City Hospital. Heis a member of the American Medical Asso-ciation, the Minnesota Academy of Medicine,. FRANCIS R. WOODARD. the Minnesota State Medical Society, and ofthe Hennepin County Medical Society. In1870 he was married to Miss Helen C. Nich-ols, of Wells, Minn., a woman of culture andrefinement. They have had five children—Frances Helen, Harry Smith, Joseph Nich-ols, Luella, and Lawrence Baker doctor is an attendant and supporter ofthe Park Avenue Congregational church,with which his family is identified. In poli-tics, although too busy to take an active part,he is a Republican, having cast his first votefor President Grant. JONES, William Alexander, specialist innervous and mental diseases. Dr. Jones isa native of Minnesota, and was born at , May 24, 1859. His ancestors were^^elsh on his fathers side, and Scotch on hismothers.
