Feast-pits and the remains of feasts deposited with burials areof common occurrence in connection with graves in this generalregion, suggesting the performance of a feast ceremony as part ofthe mortuary rites. Dog Burials The skeletons of two dogs were found in the cemetery. Thefirst, unearthed at a point twelve feet southwest of Skeleton 6, waslying on its side, with the head toward the NE.
