A magnificent chiselled "Waidpraxe" (hunting cutlass), Saxon, dated 1617 A heavy blade with fullers on both sides and the entire obverse side chiselled with a hunting scene and floral vines. Three cross-shaped marks. Inscribed, "HANS GEORGE HERTZOK ZU SACHSEN GULICH CLEFE UND BERG CURFURSCHT 1617" along the back and the Saxon coat of arms on the reverse side.
