Here a tender from the moored Royal Yacht ‘Britannia’ is arriving. In January 1955, the Princess made the first of many trips to the Caribbean, her tour aboard Britannia to the British colonies was popular throughout the West Indies, and she even had calypsos dedicated to her. Princess Margaret, (1930 – 2002) was the younger daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and the sister of Queen Elizabeth II. This image is from an old amateur 35mm colour transparency. It will look soft and grainy if used at too large a size – a vintage 1950s photograph.
